A Not So Happy 4th of July
Yesterday, David and I stopped by a fireworks stand and carefully selected firecrackers that we felt Morgan would not be afraid of. We spent nearly a half hour making our selections, taking into consideration how loud each one would be and how big the sparks admitted would spray. We purchased our fireworks and headed out to begin our 4th of July activities. First, we got together with my whole family and went out to dinner. Then, we headed down to the farm to do the fireworks. It all started off on the wrong foot for Morgan because she hadn't felt well all day : ( When we got to the farm she was really fussy and was set off when one of the cows came right up to her and startled her. So, we thought the sooner we let off the fireworks the better. We started with snakes, smoke bombs, and pops which went over okay. We then moved to fountains which Morgan did not like. She started crying and at that point we knew it was all over for her. So, that was Morgan's not so happy 4th of July : ( Maybe next year she will be more excited to see the fireworks.
