The past couple of days have been gorgeous! Yesterday, the sun was shining and it was around 75 degrees. I knew Morgan and I had to take advantage of the weather before it turned cold again so we spent the afternoon in the backyard. It had been awhile since Morgan had been able to really enjoy playing on the swingset and she had a great time. I had a hard time convincing her to come inside for dinner : )
Today, the temperature hit 80 degrees with a steady breeze and I decided it was a perfect day to visit the zoo. It also gave me an excuse to drive my new car (yes, I convinced David to go car shopping last weekend and several hours later I was driving my new car home). Morgan loves the zoo and since it is just across town we try to go several times a year. We had a great time! I decided to let Morgan walk the whole time and not bother taking a stroller in, she did great. As usual, she loved the elephants and flamingos. We had a nice lunch at the rainforest grill and took our time walking around to the different exhibits. It was so fun getting to have a special day just the two of us (normally we always go with family or friends). After a couple of hours Morgan let me know she was tired of walking and we called it a day. I was surprised that she did not take a nap after all of that walking but she did go to bed early tonight : ) The weather is supposed to start turning cold again this weekend : ( I'm glad we got to enjoy the nice weather while it lasted. Now if only spring would hurry up and come!
