The Air Conditioning and Our Reunion
We are recovering from a long weekend! On Thursday, I was really busy getting ready for our reunion trip down south. I had a doctors appointment that morning. The baby is doing great and I am now officially in my third trimester. After my appointment my day was dedicated to running errands, and packing. I dropped our dog, Lainey, off at my grandparents and Morgan got so upset that she could not spend the night too I caved. I decided since we had to pass their house on our way out of town the next morning we would let her stay the night and pick her up then. That evening when David got home I was finishing up packing when I noticed it was getting really hot in the house. I thought it was just me being pregnant and overexerting myself at first but it kept getting worse. David made a comment from the other room about it being hot too so I check the thermostat. Sure enough, the air conditioning sounded like it was running but the temperature was rising and nothing was coming out of the vents. I wasn't too happy since the ac unit is only a few years old and this is the second time in two years that we have had a problem with it. Since it was after 5pm we decided to leave the next morning as planned, call the AC repair guys from the road, and have a family member go over to our house to let them in. By the time we left the next morning at 7am it was already 90 degrees in the house. When we got on the road I started calling around trying to find someone to come out and look at the AC only to be told it would be the middle of next week before anyone was available! I was panicking, it was supposed to be in the 100's all weekend. Finally, I got a hold of Air Masters and they agreed to squeeze us in on Monday. We spent the rest of Friday visiting with everyone and helping to prepare for Saturdays reunion. The reunion went great! It was so nice to see so many family members that we had not seen in years. Morgan had a blast playing and was in a very outgoing mood (this was unusual since she is normally very shy). Sunday we got up and decided since we were so close we would visit our old church (Westside) in Norman where we went to college. We have so many great memories of that church and it was so great to see so many old friends. After church we took Morgan over to campus and then grabbed a quick lunch before making the drive back home. Since our air conditioning was still out we dropped Morgan off at my grandparents to spend the night again and we went home to check on things. The house was hot but not as hot as I was expecting. This morning I was surprised when the AC guy called at 8am and said he was on his way! Once the repairman got here he figured out the problem within a matter of minutes and had it fixed. It turned out some part on the condenser went out and needed to be replaced. Our house is now nice and cool again : ) Now that the reunion is over and the AC is working, I plan to spend the rest of the week relaxing!

Don't even act like you are going to take Brian away!

Morgan is fascinated by water fountains : )
Morgan and Daddy found an open room to race in.
