Fall Activities
It is starting to look like fall around here. I have pulled out a few of the fall and Halloween decorations and started to decorate the house. The weather has started to cool off (although, I know that in this state the weather can go from cool to hot all in the same day) and some of the trees are changing. By last weekend, I was ready to get out of the house and do something fun. Saturday, Nonnie and Papa babysat Morgan for the day allowing David, Carson, and I to get caught up on some sleep. Morgan had a blast because they took her to the big build park for the afternoon. That night, they babysat Morgan and Carson so that David could go out on our first date since the baby came. It was so nice going out to a quiet dinner and catching up. On Sunday afternoon, we went to the Fall Festival in town. We shopped the craft stands and enjoyed the live music and the food. I was excited about getting a funnel cake (since I won't make the fair this year) and Morgan was happy to get some pink cotton candy : ) After the festival we stopped at our favorite pumpkin patch. Morgan got to play in the houses, climb the haystack, ride the tractor, and ride a pony. Unfortunately, the slide and the hayride were closed due to the rain earlier in the day but Morgan could have cared less because the pony ride made up for it. Carson did pretty well in his stroller and since it was all outdoors I wasn't my usual paranoid germaphobe self. This coming week, I plan to start my baking (I have only baked one thing since Carson was born!). I have a few Halloween cakes to make in the next couple of weeks and I also need to start making some breads and cookies to keep around the house. Last year, Morgan couldn't get enough of my pumpkin bread and my apple walnut bread. Now, since I plan to start baking again, I really hope the doctor clears me to start working out again in two weeks. I'm ready to drop the baby weight and get back into my old clothes! So far, fall is off to a nice start : )
