Enjoying the Christmas Rush
The closer to Christmas it gets the more hectic things are getting in the Talley household. I thought once we finished the decorating and shopping then we could sit back and relax but I was mistaken. We have been so busy over the last couple of weeks that time is flying by. I have been really busy baking. I got the task of baking for the kids and moms at playgroup which equated to a lot of treats. I baked over 250 cookies all in one day! I also baked some bread, muffins, and made several candies. I still have to do a cake for next week and make the goodies for the family. I'm not complaining though, I love it. Morgan has been busy with many craft projects. I am having her make homemade ornaments to decorate packages with. Last weekend, Morgan and daddy assembled a gingerbread Christmas train : ) Morgan had a blast doing a project with just daddy and she loved decorating the train (and sneaking candy). Morgan had to go to the doctor last week and she got weighed and measured. She is still tall and skinny. Morgan now weighs 31lbs and is 41.5 inches tall. Carson is also getting big, he is in six month old clothes but will probably need to be in 9 months by Jan/Feb because he is so long. He is tolerating all of the chaos well. Carson is such a good natured baby. He rarely makes a peep, he sleeps through most of the night, is hardly ever fussy, and seems content to just watch the hustle and bustle from his swing or bouncy seat. Not to mention he has the sweetest smile ; ) The next week and a half until Christmas will be as busy as the last few weeks around here. I have to finish the baking, wrapping, two Christmas parties to attend, one last playdate, carriage ride to look at the Christmas lights, a trip to ride the Christmas train, and grammy will be in town : ) So many fun things crammed into such a small amount of time! I love this time of year!!!
